New Fish Gadget
I finally got the first version of the Fish Gadget completed! Right now the fish can follow your mouse or swim around if the mouse is not active. They can also eat the food you give them by clicking the mouse. Over the next few weeks I will be adding new features, so if you have any requests, please leave a comment. I will also be making it compatible with other pages too like Pageflakes, Netvibes, etc.
Great new module! It would be great to be able to customize number of fish, colors of individual fish, etc. I’m curious if they’re programmed with any sort of metric towards their personality…it often seems like some of the fish aren’t nearly as good at getting food.

Hi Aaron,
I assigned random top accelerations to them, which also affects how much they wiggle back and forth. That probably causes some of them to be clumsier than others when swimming for the food.
I think this would be pretty cool if you could make the fish like different type of spices so like one fish would be one type and the other fish could be another type i think it would be cool and maybe they can each have there own personalitys well thanks.

i think it would be grat if you could get sharks that come after the fish and also 1 for the spider gadget change the coulor of the legs to two colors

You should make fat ones, skinny ones, frogs, turtles, BUT DONT OVER-DO IT.

It’ll be EXELLENT if we can choose the species of the fish and can clean the tank when it’s dirty.
Also make the tank bigger in the Google Personized homepage. I don’t have a website.

Very cool. You did a great job of creating a pretty natural-looking swimming motion. A few different species would be great as mentioned before. Nothing too over the top though, it’s pretty cool just like it is.
