Two Fish Gadget Updates

This weekend I got around to making a couple of improvements to the fish gadget.

  • You can now color individual fish.
  • When they eat, they create ripples in the water.

Let me know what you think.

Is it possible to add the fish gadget to a web page without the google ads? and still be able to change the number of fish? I tried the flashvars parameter call without success.

The fish are cool, I made mine in the 6 rainbow colors plus black and white. For purple put this in custom color: FF00FF.

Your fish are just superb. You must have spent a lot of time perfecting their behaviour — they are so interesting and life-like.

If you’re considering doing more work on the fish, here are the things I’d most like to see in the next version:

    1. It would be cool if I could change the fish’s size, as well as their colour.

    2. There’s room for improvement in the way that the fish’s tails move. They seem a bit wriggly — more like tadpoles than goldfish.

Thanks for this gorgeous adornment to my Google home page.
