Gadgets » Spider
Add this spider to your page and watch it crawl around and follow your mouse. You might even be able to give some unsuspecting victim a little scare with this one :).
To give this spider a bigger area to roam, download Google Pack and install Google Desktop.
You should then be able to find the spider in the fun and games section of the gadgets directory.

I like it but I wish you could let it out of it’s box to roam the entire screen. Being able to turn it on or off at will.
Don’t fear spiders. Our eco system depends on them very much.

Hi Demetra,
I think the only way I could get it to work would be to update it to actionscript 3.

Is there any way possible to allow .gif images as the background images?

mmmm.. i like.
but i think it’d be more popular if it’s something cute and amusing. I personally find spiders to be scary and unnerving.
caterpillars or maybe a ladybug

Cracking actionscripting. I found a really old version of this spider and spent an evening porting it to actionscript 2 and making a little spider racing game
And now I see it looks even more realistic. Oh, and you might want to buy your old domain name again (adbocode.com) just to catch legacy links and visitors. It’s currently going to a nasty holding page.
Keep up the excellent work!
Cheers.
