Gadgets » Tree Frog

edit settings

Add this tree frog to your page to see how he inquisitively follows your mouse and eats the flies you give him.

You can now change the color of the tree frog, the color of the background, and the size of his belly when you add him to your page.

To add the tree frog to your desktop in Windows, you can download Google Desktop which is a part of Google Pack.

Then add the tree frog gadget from the fun and games gadgets.

    Mikey,
I just updated the code to get rid of that white strip. I didn’t realize it was doing that. If you still see it, you may have to synchronize the page by going to the active desktop dialog box and pressing the Synchronize button.
Thanks for letting me know about that.

I’ve added and 800×600 version of this to my Windows Active Desktop, and it is really cool!! Any chance we can get rid of that annoying white bar along the right-hand edge?

    David,
It looks like I exceeded the bandwidth allowed by Google Pages. I have updated the treefrog.xml so he should be back on your page soon (it may take an hour or so). If you know how to erase your browser cache, he should reappear immediately after doing that. In firefox you can do that by going to Tools -> Clear Private Data -> Check just the Cache and then press the “Clear Private Data Now” button.

I’m going to see if I can find a way to prevent the page from reloading every time a user modifies the color of the tree frog in google. This would conserve a lot of bandwidth.

Thanks for notifying me of this problem.

something keeps happening to my treefrog, i have loads of space on my google page but a message in a box keeps appearing. The message is:

“The bandwidth limit for this site has been exceeded.”

As soon as i download it again though, it comes up alright. I can also add other things on my page but they dont have the message. Could yu tell me why this is happening? i really like the little module and i would like it to work as well as normal
