Thank you!! It was the name of the turtles apparently – I had used some special characters and hadn’t even thought about it! Once I changed the name, the customization worked perfectly
And now I have three colorful turtles swimming around my igoogle. . .

How do I change the setttings (like the colors?) if the turtle gadget is on my google sidebar?

Hi amyzern,
To customize the turtles on Google Desktop, you can find colors you like using the color chooser gadget and paste them into the settings window of the gadget. To get to the settings window, make sure the gadget is either docked to the sidebar (not extended outward on the sidebar) or completely undocked from the sidebar and then hover the mouse over the upper right corner of the gadget window. You should see a down arrow. Click the arrow and choose “Options…” from the menu.
Is it possible to merge the fish and turtle gadgets?

i was thinking why not make it so that you can control one of the fish or any other pet. it would be cool feature where you could click on the pet and you could control it for a little while.

These turtles are the best. My kids love them and the addition of the customization picker is terrific. Keep up the great work – We are HUGE fans!!
