To see the new a pattern option for the tree frog on iGoogle, edit the settings as described in my last post and select a pattern from the pattern drop down. There are currently two patterns available. Expect to see more in the future.
I will add the patterns to the other start pages soon.
I’ve been getting a lot of comments about how to personalize the gadgets on Google. Once the gadget has been added to your page, click the down arrow in the upper right corner of the gadget. You will then be able to click on edit “settings”.
This will show a form with the settings of the gadget. Once you are done making your selections, press the save button at the bottom of the form....
The last version of Google Desktop had a bug that prevented users form being able to add universal gadgets by entering their address to the search textbox on the add gadget screen. If you have had trouble adding gadgets like the Fish to Google Desktop, uninstall the version of Google Desktop you have and download and install the latest one.
Google Desktop is included in Google Pack.
The spider is now able to stop and rest when it gets close to your mouse. After a few seconds of mouse inactivity, he resumes crawling around randomly. It can also turn in place toward the mouse and move backwards if the mouse is too close. You will also notice the spider now has a cephalothorax (head).
Go ahead and feed him some flies.
